Stanley F. Barshay has served as Chairman of Schering-Plough Consumer HealthCare Products since 2003. Prior to 1997, Mr. Barshay served in a variety of senior executive positions at American Home Products (now Wyeth). Between 1997 and 2003, Mr. Barshay served as a consultant for several companies. He has been a director of the Company since 2003. Stanley F. Barshay served as the President of Consumer Health Care of Merck & Co., Inc. until April 1, 2010 and served as its Executive Vice President from November 2009 to April 1, 2010. Mr. Barshay served as Senior Vice President at Wyeth LLC and oversaw the consumer businesses since 1987. At Wyeth LLC, He also served as President of several subsidiaries, including Boyle-Midway Household Products Corporation and Whitehall Laboratories. During his 32-year career at AHP, he served as Member of the Finance and Operations Committees and as President of a number of AHP's consumer companies and was responsible for such products as Advil, Robitussen, Centrum, Woolite, Easy-Off Cleaner, Dimetapp and Ekco Housewares. For many years, He served in a variety of Senior Executive positions at American Home Products (now part of Pfizer). He has an extensive background in health care and related consumer products with Wyeth LLC, having also led successful marketing strategies. He retired from Wyeth in 1997 and has remained active in the health care arena. Prior to November 2009, He served as the Chairman of Consumer Health Care at Schering-Plough Corporation since July 7, 2003. He joined Schering-Plough in June 2003 and was responsible for such brands as Claritin, Coppertone and Dr. Scholls. He serves as a Member of Board of Trustees of Long Island University. He has been an Independent Director at Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. since October 7, 2003. He is also on the Council of Overseers for the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Mr. Barshay received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Long Island University. Mr. Barshay also studied at New York University Graduate School of Business.
