David Leger joined the South Bay Cities Council of Governments in 2016 and serves as a senior project manager responsible for administering Measure R and Measure M programs that fund local transportation improvements across member cities. His role includes coordinating with the SBCCOG board of directors and supporting various working groups and committees. Prior to joining the SBCCOG, Leger worked in local and state government, serving as a district representative for then–Assemblymember, State Senator, and later U.S. Representative Ted Lieu, where he represented South Bay communities including the Beach Cities and Palos Verdes Peninsula. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, San Diego, and is a lifelong South Bay resident.
