Alan J. Bernon has been Senior Advisor of Merger and Acquisitions of Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. since September 27, 2016. Mr. Bernon is Founding Partner and Member of Advisory Board at Sequel Holdings, L.P., where he also was a founding investor. He served as the President of Dean Foods Dairy Group from January 1, 2006 to September 1, 2007. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of Northeast Region of Dairy Group. Prior to joining Dairy Farmers of America, Mr. Bernon served as the President of the Dairy Group of Dean Foods Company until May 2008 and served as its Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Bernon served as the President of Garelick Farms LLC since 1985. He serves as a Director of Big Brothers-Big Sisters Of America. He serves as a Trustee of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, The Fessenden School, Hofstra University and The Wang Center for the Performing Arts and was also a Board Member of the Milk Industry Foundation. Mr. Bernon received a B.B.A. Degree in Finance and Economics in 1976, from Hofstra University Mr. Bernon served as President of Dean Foods Dairy Group from January 1, 2006 to August 31, 2007. From 1997 through the end of 2005, he served as Chief Operating Officer of the Northeast Region of our Dairy Group. He was originally elected to our Board of Directors in connection with our acquisition of The Garelick Companies in 1997. From September 1985 until July 1997, Mr. Bernon served as President of The Garelick Companies. His term will expire in 2010.
