Gordon M Binder

Gordon M. Binder is the Founder of Coastview Capital LLC and serves as its Managing Director. Mr. Binder served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Amgen Inc. from 1988 to 2000. He joined Amgen in 1982 as a Chief Financial Officer, having served as a Chief Financial Officer of System Development Corp., a computer system and software company primarily serving the Federal government, and in financial management positions at Litton Industries and Ford Motor Company. Mr. Binder is a Director of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the California Institute of Technology, the only person to hold positions on both boards. He serves as Chairman of the Board of SRU Biosystems Inc. He has been a Director of ACADIA Pharmaceuticals Inc. since June 2003. He is a Trustee at The American Enterprise Institute. He served as a Director of Amgen Inc., until 2000. Mr. Binder has been Chairman of BIO, the biotechnology industry trade association, and PhRMA, the pharmaceutical industry trade association. He holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
