Since 2003, Nazari has been the head of Pacific General Ventures, which invests in semiconductor and software companies. Before running Pacific General, Nazari was a vice president at Marvell Semiconductor Inc., where his responsibilities included the development of storage and communications products. From 1994 to 1997, Nazari was chief technologist at GEC Plessey Semiconductor. Before that, he was an engineer at Seagate Technology and Digital Equipment Corp. He holds eight patents. In 2003, Nazari established the Hasbun Nazari Charitable Fund, which supports various charities worldwide with an emphasis on children’s education and welfare, health-care research and public policy. He holds a doctorate in engineering from the University of Colorado and lives in Atherton, Calif.
