Albert B Glickman died peacefully on April 27th in Los Angeles. Born in Portland, Maine, Al was raised by his widowed mother Mildred Brenner. Millie later married Joe Glickman and the family moved to California. Albert B. Glickman was the Founder and Sole Proprietor of Albert B. Glickman and Associates. Mr. Glickman was an attorney, real estate developer, investor, and philanthropist. Mr. Glickman is involved in the development of more than 100 commercial properties. Mr. Glickman served as Chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston. He had been a Director of The Michael J. Fox Foundation since 2004. Mr. Glickman served as an Emeritus Trustee for the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Mr. Glickman servesd as a Director of the Portland Museum of Art and the Portland Symphony Orchestra, and on the Board of Councillors for the UCLA Foundation and the Board of Governors for Cedars Sinai Medical Center. He was a Co-Founder and Board Member of the Aspen Center for New Medicine. He served as a Trustee Emeritus of both the Aspen Museum of Art and the Los Angeles County Natural History Museum. He was a Member of the California State Bar Association since 1960. Mr. Glickman had a BS in Political Science from UCLA and a JD from UCLA Law School. Al's greatest love was his wife Judy. They met at UCLA where Al was close friends with her brother Richard. Al and Judy were partners in life, family, travel, and tennis. They were married for 54 years of romance and laughter, loyalty and love. He is missed by a large and loving family: children Jeff (Mindy), Tigraw, David (Paige), and Brenner (Elaine); and many grandchildren; brother Bob; and loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
