Jeffrey M Lipton

Chief Executive Officer and Director, NOVA Chemicals Corporation (plastics and chemicals). Mr. Lipton graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a BS degree in chemical engineering and received an MBA from Harvard University. Mr. Lipton began working for E.I. DuPont de Nemours in 1965 undertaking assignments in manufacturing, sales, marketing, purchasing, research and general business management. In 1994, he joined NOVA Corporation as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In 1994, Mr. Lipton was appointed President and was elected a director in 1996. In 1998, he was elected President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of NOVA Chemicals Corporation and assumed his current position in January 2008. Mr. Lipton is a director of Hercules Incorporated. He is the past-Chairman of the Board of the American Chemistry Council and the American Section of the Society of Chemical Industry. He is also a member of the Board of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives.
