Candice Saunders

As president and CEO of Marietta-based WellStar Health System, Candice Saunders oversees the largest integrated health delivery system in Georgia. Under her leadership, WellStar acquired six additional hospitals and expanded its clinically integrated network, WellStar Clinical Partners. Formerly the company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, Saunders joined WellStar as president of Kennestone Hospital in 2007. She began her career as a critical care nurse.
