He is in charge of the Office of Special Counsel (OSC). His job is to investigate and prosecute corruption cases on Capitol Hill. He has a perfect record protecting the swamp. No one has been referred for criminal prosecution under his watch. However, Kerner submitted a report to President Trump on June 13 recommending that White House adviser Kellyanne Conway be fired for violating the Hatch Act multiple times. Mr. Kerner was the Staff Director under Ranking Member Sen. John McCain of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, the lead investigative committee of Congress. He then became a Vice President at Cause of Action, a nonpartisan oversight group committed to exposing waste, fraud and abuse in the Federal Government and which has worked with whistleblower and good government groups throughout the country.
