Charles A Elcan

Charles A. Elcan served as Executive Vice President of Medical Office Operations at HCP, Inc., from October 2, 2003 to April 2008. Mr. Elcan served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of MedCap Properties, LLC from 1998 to October 2003. He founded Ardent Health Services (formerly Behavioral Healthcare Corporation) and was an Investor from 1992 to 1997 and also served as its President. He served as the Chairman of MedCap Properties, LLC from 1998 to October 2003. He has been an Independent Director of REX American Resources Corporation since January 2003. He serves as a Director of Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant Group. He serves as a Director of The Land Trust for Tennessee, a non-profit conservation easement organization. Elcan is married to HCA co-founder Thomas F. Frist Jr.'s daughter Patricia.
