Mr. Overmyer brings nearly 20 years of operational private equity experience to his role as a principal of Hopewell Ventures. In addition to Hopewell, he was instrumental in establishing Adena Ventures, L.P., the nation’s first and largest New Markets Venture Capital Company. Prior to joining Hopewell, he served as regional vice president for Ridgewood Capital where he managed the Chicago office. Mr. Overmyer previously served as vice president of Cooper Investment Partners where he analyzed private equity transactions for accredited individual investors, family offices and private institutional pensions. Before joining Cooper, he was part of a team brought into Avondale Federal Savings Banks to develop and establish its in-house brokerage capability. He also has held a seat on the Chicago Board of Trade. Mr. Overmyer earned his bachelor’s from Indiana University and completed graduate work at Indiana and the University of Chicago. He has held several insurance and securities industry licenses including Securities Series 6, Series 7, Series 22 and Series 63.
