Born Georgette Naify, she was the widow of John Rosekrans, who died in 2001. He was a grandson of Adolph Spreckels, who, with his wife, Alma, founded the Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco. Her father, Michael Naify, created a movie chain that became United Artists. She and her late husband were staunch supporters of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake led a $23.8 million campaign to raise money to renovate and expand the Legion of Honor. They contributed $5 million. Mrs. Rosekrans' first husband was Edward Topham Jr., with whom she had three sons, one of whom died in an accident. After Mr. Topham died of a brain tumor, she married Rosekrans. Mrs. Rosekrans is survived by two sons, Ned Topham of San Francisco and John Topham of Marin County; two stepsons, John Rosekrans of Marin and Peter Rosekrans of Woodside; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
