Gary Michael Walters

In April 2023, Bold Film’s longtime CEO Gary Michael Walters stepped down to form Walters Media Group. Walters has been with Bold Film since its founding in 2004. The newly created Walters Media Group will focus on the development of studio-caliber film and television projects, independent film financing and production and strategic consultancy to high-net-worth investors and media companies. Gary Michael Walters was born in New York, and educated at Princeton University, where he majored in statistics, and Fordham Law School, where he graduated cum laude. After working on Wall Street as a financial consultant for Johnson & Higgins and a corporate lawyer at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, Walters moved to Los Angeles and entered the entertainment business at the entertainment law department of Loeb & Loeb. After several years of solo law practice, Walters commenced his producing career in 2003, specializing in the financing of independent feature films.
