Marilyn Yager is a senior policy advisor in Alston & Bird’s Washington, D.C. office. She provides policy and political expertise on a variety of health care issues, assisting clients in developing, designing and implementing their legislative and regulatory strategy. Ms. Yager is a policy and coalition building professional with noted expertise in health care and senior citizen related issues. She has 25 years of senior management, policy and government affairs experience in both the public and private sectors. She is skilled in strategic planning and implementation, policy advocacy, public affairs and communications, and consensus building. An Iowa native, Ms. Yager began her professional career as a member of the Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) where she founded a senior citizen skill swap program in the Cascade Mountains of Washington that enabled the low-income rural elderly to meet their home repair needs.
