Dennis Vaughan

Rear Admiral Vaughan spent his last five years of active duty in the U.S. Navy in senior level positions at the Pentagon, and prior to that, worked for many years in corporate leadership roles. His unique combination of high-level military and corporate expertise makes him exceptionally qualified to understand and assist industry leaders in developing and strengthening their relationships within the federal government in order to meet their specific legislative and regulatory goals. As an Admiral in the Navy, Vaughan served as Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Navy’s Mine Warfare; Chief of Naval Reserve; Deputy Commander of Military Sealift Command Pacific and Far East; and, Commander of Naval Inshore Undersea Warfare Group ONE, in addition to other assignments. In all, Rear Admiral Vaughan has had 13 commands including Command at Sea and Command Ashore, and has served in critical operations in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Croatia, Haiti, and Vietnam. In his private sector work, he was President and Founder of Puget Sound Boat Works; President of TRA Real Estate Division; and Program Manager of major defense and aerospace programs. Admiral Vaughan began his naval career as an NROTC engineering student at Oregon State University, and later graduated with a degree in Marine Science from the U.S. Naval Academy, continuing his studies at Seattle University to earn his M.B.A. He also has attended Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, the Armed Forces Staff College, the Naval War College, and the Army War College. Rear Admiral Vaughan testified frequently before Congress while in the Navy, and has been a featured speaker and columnist on management and leadership.
