Shane Doucet

Shane Doucet is a political strategist for Locke Lord Strategies in Washington, D.C. He previously worked for Congressman Chris John (D-Louisiana) who is a former Chairman of the Blue Dog Democrats. As a Legislative Assistant to Rep. John, a member of the Health Subcommittee on the Energy and Commerce Committee, he worked on education, energy, health, judicial, foreign affairs, immigration and labor issues. Mr. Doucet also spent time as a legislative aide for State Sen. Phil Short in Louisiana. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Doucet served as Vice President of a significant Washington, D.C., consulting firm where he represented various pharmaceutical and health services companies, as well as clients in the energy, high-tech and financial services industries. Additionally, he lobbied on behalf of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for more than two years on issues such as health care reform, legal reform, energy, tax and environmental regulations.
