Paul Hazen

Paul Hazen is a former Chairman and CEO of Wells Fargo and Company from which he retired in April 2001 as Chairman after a 30-year career with the bank. He was also a director of the Dodge Corporation until February 2003 and Chairman and Lead Independent Director of Vodafone Group Plc until July 2006. Mr. Hazen is currently Chairman of Accel-KKR and of KKR Financial Corporation and also serves as Lead Independent Director of Safeway, Inc. PAUL HAZEN has been a member of the Board of Directors since July 18, 1990. Mr. Hazen retired from Wells Fargo & Co. in April 2001 after serving as Chairman since November 1998. He was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Wells Fargo & Co. from January 1995 to November 1998. Mr. Hazen is Chairman and a director of KKR Financial Corp. and a direct or of Xstrata (Schweiz) AG, listed on the London stock exchange.
