Henderson is currently with Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP. Over the course of his legal career, he has represented the State of Georgia and other political subdivisions, as well as hospitals, colleges, universities and other non-profit entities throughout the country. From 1996 to 2005 Henderson served as a firm-wide Managing Partner, during which time the firm experienced exceptional growth in both the number of clients served and the number of practicing lawyers. In addition to his affiliation with the High, Henderson currently serves on the boards of a number of other organizations, including Equal Justice Works (formerly NAPIL) in Washington D.C., the largest provider of post-graduate public interest law fellowships in the country; Trinity Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Ga.; and Auburn Seminary in New York City. Henderson is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta. He also serves on the National Steering Committee for the University of North Carolina Capital Campaign. Henderson received his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1976 and his B.A. from the University of North Carolina in 1973, where he was a Morehead Scholar.
