Christy Carson Evans works with clients in many different industries on a broad scope of funding and policy issues related to telecommunications, the environment, agriculture, infrastructure development, transportation, research and development, and others. Her steadfast ties to Republican leaders in Congress and the federal agencies give her access to the resources and intelligence necessary to succeed for our clients. Ms. Evans has an exceptional talent for pinpointing opportunities in the government and matching them with the needs of the companies and not-for-profit organizations we represent. Prior to joining Cassidy & Associates in 1998, Ms. Evans was the Policy and Planning Coordinator of the U.S. House Republican Conference for three years, during which time she concentrated on the development of legislative and communications strategies for that body. Before taking her post with the House Republican Conference, she was a Special Assistant to U.S. Representative John Boehner (R-OH), serving as Staff Director for the Conservative Opportunity Society and as a liaison to the House Administration Committee. Earlier in her career, Ms. Evans was Strategy Whip Assistant to Representative Newt Gingrich (R-GA) in the U.S. House Republican Whip Office and was Legislative Assistant in Congressman Gingrich’s Congressional office. Ms. Evans also served in the Reagan Administration as Staff Assistant to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Congressional and Legislative Affairs at the Department of Commerce. Ms. Evans graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned a B.A. in Speech Communication.
