Jason Rosenstock is an associate in the corporate practice of Paul Hastings’s Washington, DC office. As a member of the government affairs practice group, Mr. Rosenstock focuses on legislative advocacy and regularly brings him back to the halls of the United States Congress, where he began his professional career. Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Mr. Rosenstock was counsel to Congressman Tom Lantos (D-CA), the former chairman of the House Foreign Relations Committee and a senior member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee. As a top advisor to Congressman Lantos, Mr. Rosenstock was responsible for dealing with a variety of legislative and policy issues, both international and domestic. During that time, Mr. Rosenstock gained extensive experience in all phases of the legislative process, including drafting legislation, committee hearings, mark-ups and congressional investigations. In addition to providing strategic advice on how to successfully navigate through the legislative process, Mr. Rosenstock also advises clients on matters of political law, including compliance with the Federal Elections Campaign Act and the Lobbying Disclosure Act. A native of Massachusetts, Mr. Rosenstock has also been involved in a variety of campaigns in his home state, as well as in California, New York and New Hampshire, both at the state and federal level. Mr. Rosenstock is also a member of the firm's Telecommunications and Meda Practice Group, where he advises clients on regulatory matters, including FCC regulations applicable to wireless providers, wireline carriers, and broadcasters. Mr. Rosenstock received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2005 and his B.A. from Union College, in Schenectady, NY where he graduated with Honors in political science.
