Mr. DeCoursey worked in government affairs for Catholic Charities and the United Way of Greater Chicago before he was selected as LGC's executive director in 1989. He retired in June 2014. The organization, started with a grant from the Chicago Community Trust, said it would name a David DeCoursey Fellow each year from the non-profit sector.
