Antonio Williams has served as the director of government affairs for Comcast for the past seven years, a critically important role as the company increases their lobbying in the face of squabbles on Capitol Hill over everything from net neutrality to internet privacy. Williams also has a close affiliation with Washington D.C. His father Juan Williams is a well known political commentator and his young brother Raffi Williams currently serves as press secretary for the Republican National Committee. Before coming to Comcast Tony worked on behalf of non-profits and Government. Working for Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN), Tony managed legislative communications strategies while overseeing constituent communications. While at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Tony was an integral part of a national campaign team supporting the VA’s transition from Hospital to Clinic based care. Tony has also always been strongly connected to the local community. While in D.C., Tony’s hometown, he ran for city council as well as worked to increase educational opportunities, eliminate food deserts, and bring resources to his neighborhood. Today in Philadelphia Tony has dedicated himself to fostering organizations that engage kids in their education serving on the board of Children’s Literacy Initiative, Philadelphia Young Playwrights, and the Philadelphia Youth Poetry Movement.
