Kenneth Salomon is a Member of Dow Lohnes and head of the firm's Government Relations Practice Group. He also serves as the Chairman of Dow Lohnes Government Strategies LLC. He works with clients in the areas of government relations and public policy, as well as on issues involving commercial and public broadcasting and distributed learning. Mr. Salomon joined Dow Lohnes in 1980 and serves on the firm's Hiring and Professional Development Committees. From 1978-1980, Mr. Salomon was Deputy Chief Counsel of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, the President's principal advisor on telecommunications and information policy. Mr. Salomon held several legal positions at the Federal Communications Commission between 1970-1972 and 1975-1978. From 1972-1975, Mr. Salomon was an associate in the Washington office of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey. Mr. Salomon is an honors graduate of both Tufts University (BA), Medford, MA, and The George Washington University School of Law (JD), Washington, DC, where he was a member of the Law Review. He is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia and Maryland as well as the Federal Communications Bar Association and the National Association of College and University Attorneys. Mr. Salomon is a member of the Editorial Board of NACUANotes, the board of the Oklahoma State University Institute for Teaching and Learning Excellence, and is President of the Maryland Soccer Foundation, Inc. He was Professorial Lecturer on International Telecommunications at the Johns Hopkins University School for Advanced International Studies for several years through 2001.
