John A Hurson

John Hurson is Executive Vice President of Government Relations for the Personal Care Products Council, the trade association representing the cosmetic, toiletry, and fragrance industry. Prior to this position, Mr. Hurson served as Maryland State Representative for Chevy Chase, Kensington, and Silver Spring, Maryland for 15 years. While in office Mr. Hurson served as Majority leader from 1994-2002, as Chairman of the Environmental Matters Committee from 2002-2003, and most recently as Chairman of the Health and Government Operations Committee. Hurson also has served as President of the National Conference of State Legislatures. John Hurson received his JD from the Georgetown University Law Center, is married to Dr. Susan Hurson, and has two children.
