Mr. Theodore P. Shen is a Trustee at Yale University. In 1999 Theodore Shen retired from a thirty-one-year career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he had held the positions of Chairman of the DLJ Capital Markets Group and member of the DLJ board of directors since 1984. Following his graduation from Harvard Business School in 1968, Mr. Shen joined DLJ as an investment analyst and held various management positions prior to heading the Capital Markets Group, which encompassed the firm's equities, fixed-income, high-yield finance, and venture capital businesses, and, through 1991, its investment banking and merchant banking businesses as well. Mr. Shen serves on the boards of the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Yale Art Gallery, and the Brooklyn Bridge Park Coalition. He has also served as board co-head of Phillips Exeter Academy, board chair of the Packer Collegiate Institute, and a commissioner on the Art Commission of the City of New York. He was elected Alumni Fellow in 2001.
