Mr. J. Edward Virtue, also known as Ted, is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at MidOcean Partners. From 1999 to February 2003, Mr. Virtue served as the Chief Executive Officer at DB Capital Partners and had oversight for the bank’s $35 billion direct investment portfolio. While at Deutsche, he held management responsibilities for the investment bank in the Americas, debt capital markets, and Deutsche Bank's global private equity businesses. Prior to Deutsche Bank’s acquisition of Bankers Trust Company, Mr. Virtue was the President at BT Alex, Brown Incorporated and an Executive Vice President and Head of Global Finance at Bankers Trust, where he was responsible for the finance businesses including origination and distribution of loans, fixed income, and equities. Prior to joining Bankers Trust, he served as a Senior Vice President at Drexel Burnham Lambert and New Street Capital Corporation. He served as President at Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown Inc., from June 1999 to December 1999 and as an Executive Vice President and Head of Global Finance at Deutsche Bank Trust Corporation. Mr. Virtue served as Chief Executive Officer at Deutsche Bank AG, Investment Arm. Mr. Virtue serves as Chairman of Youth, Inc. Mr. Virtue serves as a Director of Wynn Resorts Ltd since November 2012 and Bushnell, Incorporated. He served as a Director at Lubrizol Advanced Materials International, Inc. and Lubrizol Advanced Materials, Inc. since April 2003. He served as a Director of Ichor Systems, Inc., (Celerity Group, Inc) from May 2003 to July 2004 and previously from May 2001 to April 2003. Mr. Virtue served as a Director of Noveon, Inc., Deutsche Bank Alex Brown Inc., Kinetics Group, Vitaquest, BT Alex Brown, and Center Parcs (UK) Group Limited. Mr. Virtue serves as a Member of the Boards of Trustees of Middlebury College and The Brunswick School. He holds a BA from Middlebury College.
