Robert Jain is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse, based in New York. He is Global Head of Asset Management and Global Head of Alternative Investments, and serves on or chairs various management and risk committees across the bank. Prior to his current role, Mr. Jain was the Co-Head of Global Securities in the Investment Banking division, responsible for Global Equities, which included Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, Prime Services, Research and Capital Markets. Prior to that, he was the Global Head of Proprietary Trading across Equities and Fixed Income. Mr. Jain joined Credit Suisse in January 1996 as a Vice President and Head of Index Arbitrage in the Americas, and has also worked in the London office. Since joining the bank, Mr. Jain has held a variety of positions, including Head of Arbitrage Strategies, Quantitative Trading and Advanced Execution Services. He began his career at O'Connor & Associates as an Options Trader. Mr. Jain received his B.A. in Political Science from Cornell University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Mr. Jain sits on the boards of the Museum of the City of New York and the Bronx Community Charter School.
