Mark Zmijewski focuses his academic writing and consulting on issues related to valuation, security analysis, and the effect of financial and other disclosures on capital market participants and security prices. Zmijewski was a teaching assistant and assistant professor of accounting at State University of New York at Buffalo and a course director at York University prior to joining the Chicago Booth. Zmijewski is a former Chicago Booth Deputy Dean, Ph.D. Program faculty director, and the Center for Research in Security Prices faculty director. He earned a bachelor's degree in 1976, an MBA in 1981 in accounting, and a PhD with a major in accounting and minors in economics and finance in 1983, all from State University of New York at Buffalo. He joined Chicago Booth in 1984.
