American Express Chairman and CEO
Chenault joined American Express in 1981, has been chairman and CEO since 2001, and was the company’s first black CEO and one of the few black leaders among Fortune 500 companies. He serves as a director of International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) and The Procter & Gamble Company. He is a member of The World Trade Center Memorial Foundation and a trustee of the NYU Langone Medical Center.
