global head of mergers and acquisitions and vice chairman of Morgan Stanley. Kindler received a BA from Colgate in 1976 and a JD from New York University School of Law in 1980. He joined Morgan Stanley after having been global head of mergers and acquisitions at JPMorgan for six years. Prior to that, he was a senior partner at the law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions for more than 20 years. As well as serving on Colgate’s Board of Trustees since 2002, Kindler is also on the Board of Trustees of New York University School of Law, the Board of Directors of March of Dimes (New York division), and the Board of Directors of the Levin Institute. His daughter, Emily, is a member of the Class of 2004, son William is a member of the Class of 2008, and son Dylan graduated in 2012.
