Carter Eskew is a Founding Partner and Managing Director of The Glover Park Group (GPG) who has over 20 years of experience in the most high profile corporate and political campaigns. At The Glover Park Group, Eskew has formulated message strategy and advertising for a range of corporate and non-profit clients, including Verizon, The Alliance for Climate Protection, Pfizer, The Center for Audit Quality, DeBeers and United States Telecom Association. Prior to GPG, he was Chief Strategist for the Gore 2000 presidential campaign, leading the message and creative team that helped Vice President Gore win every primary and caucus, secure the nomination, then make up a 20 point deficit in the polls to a victory in the popular vote. In 1995, Eskew became a Partner in BSMG Worldwide, the nation’s sixth largest public relations firm. He was President of the firm’s Washington office and CEO of Bozell-Eskew, an advocacy-advertising group. He built that unit into the industry’s leader, handling image campaigns for such clients as Microsoft, Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Prudential, the pharmaceutical industry, the life insurance industry and the cable television industry. These campaigns were groundbreaking efforts to convey these companies’ and industries’ values to opinion-leaders throughout the country. Before concentrating on corporate communications and advertising, he was a leading Democratic political media adviser. With the firms of Squier-Eskew and Grunwald-Eskew-Donilon, Eskew crafted strategy and advertising for a host of Democratic Senators, including Joe Lieberman, Chris Dodd, Tom Harkin, Frank Lautenberg, Dale Bumpers and David Pryor. Eskew graduated from Yale University and received an M.A. from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
