Thomas C. Woodward is the Market President for Bank of America – Pennsylvania. Mr. Woodward also serves as senior risk manager for Bank of America’s corporate and commercial banking activities with geographic responsibility for the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. As state president, Woodward provides business, civic and philanthropic leadership for Bank of America throughout Pennsylvania, with a focus on the greater Philadelphia market. He works to strengthen communication and integration among the company’s local business lines, and to improve the customer experience as well as Bank of America’s growing presence in the region. He also has direct oversight of Bank of America’s philanthropic and sponsorship assets throughout the regional community. Woodward began his career with Bank of America in 2006. Prior to that, he spent 25 years in various commercial credit and client management roles with Wachovia and its Philadelphia-based predecessors. In 2002 and 2003, Woodward took leave from Wachovia and served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Historical Society of Pennsylvania during that organization’s merger and integration with the Balch Institute for Ethnic Studies. Woodward devotes a great deal of his free time to the arts and charitable and civic activities in Greater Philadelphia. He serves as Treasurer of the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, and he is also on the boards of Select Greater Philadelphia/CEO Council for Growth, the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, NPower Pennsylvania, and Committee of Seventy. He is also a member of the corporate advisory boards for the National Constitution Center and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. An avid musician, Woodward is a member of the Philadelphia Singers Chorale and he participates in their performances with the Philadelphia Orchestra. He is also a past president of the Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia. Woodward is a graduate of Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Economics. He also holds an MBA in Finance from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
