Thomas M. Culligan served as a Senior Vice President of Raytheon Corporation from 2001 until his retirement in December 2013. He also served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Raytheon International. Prior to joining Raytheon, Mr. Culligan held senior positions with Honeywell, its predecessor, Allied Signal Corporation, and McDonnell Douglas Corporation. Earlier in his career he served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force and as a legislative director for a U.S. Congressman. Mr. Culligan holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Florida State University. Thomas M. He also is responsible for developing and leading the execution of Raytheon’s business strategy. Culligan joined Raytheon in March 2001 from Honeywell International Inc., where he was vice president and general manager of Defense and Space. He had worldwide responsibility for all related sales, marketing and government relations activities, and directed the company’s aerospace operations in Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Africa. He had line management and profit and loss responsibilities for the company’s defense aftermarket business and its technical services subsidiary, Honeywell Technology Solutions. Culligan joined AlliedSignal in 1994 as vice president of Government Operations. He held executive positions at McDonnell Douglas, including corporate vice president of Program Development and Marketing, and vice president and general manager of Government Affairs. Before joining McDonnell Douglas, Culligan was legislative director for Florida congressman Earl Hutto and chief of staff for Florida’s secretary of state. He earned a bachelor’s degree in government and a master’s degree in public administration at Florida State University and attended professional development courses at Harvard University and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
