Troy Taylor runs Special Situations Financial Advisory, a joint venture between 32 Advisors and the Algon Group, which guides debtors, creditors, equity holders and third party constituencies as they work through problematic, stressful or complex situations. He is President of the Algon Group, a specialized financial advisory firm that has played a leading role in resolving some of the country's highest profile distressed situations. Mr. Taylor was formerly President of GMA Partners, Inc. an investment firm backed by a Forbes 400 family. Prior to that he was Managing Director at KPMG LLP, where he was responsible for the firm’s corporate finance activities in the Southeastern United States and parts of Latin America. Earlier in his career, he held investment banking positions with Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. and Morgan Keegan & Co., Inc. Mr. Taylor is a nationally recognized restructuring expert in distressed and difficult transactions. He personally handled the $2.1 billion restructuring of The Related Group of Florida, over $400 million of restructurings for BFC Financial Corporation (a publicly traded diversified holding company), and the $115+ million leveraged buyout of Chiquita's vegetable oil business in Central America. His speaking engagements have included state-wide banking associations, ULI, NAHB and other industry organizations. Mr. Taylor holds an MBA and a BS (cum laude) from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (inactive).
