Danielle Burr is a principal of Navigators Global based out of the firm’s Washington, DC office. Prior to joining Navigators Global, Ms. Burr served as a Whip Liaison in the United States Senate office of Republican Whip Jon Kyl. In this position, she helped the Senate leadership develop legislative strategy and served as a liaison to the advocacy community to help build support for Senate Republican’s legislative priorities. She also advised Republican Senators and staff on Senate floor procedures and Conference rules, putting her in daily contact with a large number of key decision makers in the United States Senate. From 2005-2008, Ms. Burr served as senior director of legislative affairs for the Associated Builders & Contractors, Inc. In this position, she managed legislative strategy and oversaw a lobbying team for the largest trade association representing the merit shop construction industry. Ms. Burr, who coordinated fundraising and contribution strategies for the association’s multi-million dollar PAC, was a frequent spokesperson before the print and broadcast media on the construction industry’s legislative issues. She also was a co-founder and chair of the Coalition for a Democratic Workplace, a coalition comprised of more than 500 organizations dedicated to preventing the passage of card check legislation. Prior to her service at the Associated Builders & Contractors, Ms. Burr headed up public relations and grassroots lobbying for another prominent trade association and served as a government relations associate at APCO Worldwide, one of the world’s largest public affairs firm. Ms. Burr is a graduate of Towson University in Maryland.
