General Barry R. McCaffrey (USA Ret.) has been a director since 2005. General McCaffrey was Director, White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, from February 1996 to January 2001, serving as a member of the President's Cabinet and the National Security Council. During his career in the U.S. Army, he served as Commander in Chief, U.S. Southern Command, from 1994 to 1996. General McCaffrey holds a Bachelor's degree in General Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy and a Master's degree in Civil Government from American University. General McCaffrey is the President of BR McCaffrey Associates LLC (a private consulting firm). He is also a member of the boards of several private companies.
