Michael J Carr

Michael J. Carr, co-head of Salomon Smith Barney's global mergers and acquisition group, joined Goldman, Sachs & Company in 1998 as a managing director in its mergers and acquisitions group. He will be primarily responsible for covering industrial companies. Mr. Carr is a graduate of Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn., and received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He joined Salomon Brothers in 1985 out of graduate school and advised several clients, including Federated Department Stores, General Dynamics and Beatrice.
