Gary Stewart has a 35-year background in the entertainment industry working at Rhino Entertainment (the industry’s premier archival label) building a culture from paid volunteerism and non-traditional corporate giving to community organizing. He has been active with the Liberty Hill Foundation on their various boards since 1992. Gary also served on the board of the Social Venture Network, a nonprofit membership organization composed of socially responsible business leaders, from 1997-2000. He has been a donor, fundraiser and activist on social justice issues and progressive candidates and initiatives (for living wages, progressive taxation, marriage equality, affirmative action and immigrant rights).
