San Diego Padres owner Peter Seidler, who elevated his team to national prominence with financial commitments in the hundreds of millions but never saw the team win a World Series, died Tuesday. November 15 2023. He was 63. Peter Seidler was a managing partner of Seidler Equity Partners (SEP). He was an accomplished private equity investor with over 20 years of relevant experience. He was a member of the investment committee and serves on the board of directors of several portfolio companies. Peter received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in business administration from University of California at Los Angeles. Seidler is survived by his wife, Sheel; his mother, Terry; three children and nine brothers and sisters.
