Eric Kutsenda is a managing partner of SEP and shares responsibility for the firm’s private equity activities, with a particular emphasis on executing the investment process, including the analysis, structuring, negotiation and closing of transactions. As a long-time business partner of Peter Seidler, the late owner of the San Diego Padres MLB franchise, Kutsenda was interim control person for the team in November 2023 Prior to joining SEP, he was a principal at a Chicago-based investment firm. Eric began his career in the corporate finance division of KPMG LLP. He is a member of the investment committee and serves on the boards of several portfolio companies. Eric received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in taxation from DePaul University. He is a certified public accountant.
