Katrina Salazar, 42, of Sacramento, has been appointed to the California Board of Accountancy. Salazar has served as chief financial officer at the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges since 2010 and has been an adjunct accounting professor with the Los Rios Community College District since 2007. She was an accountant for KL Salazar Company from 2007 to 2010, senior audit manager at Reznick Group PC from 2003 to 2007, a chief financial officer at the American Red Cross from 2002 to 2003 and a financial analyst with Sutter Health from 2001 to 2002. She held multiple positions at Time Warner Inc. from 1997 to 2000, including financial manager and financial analyst and was a staff and senior accountant at Reznick Group PC from 1994 to 1997. Salazar earned a Master of Business Administration degree at Drexel University. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Salazar is a Democrat.
