Gannon is now 100% owned by Sciometrics, LLC Gannon Technologies Group, formed in 2002, has specialized in object recognition technologies, primarily in support of the U.S. intelligence and law enforcement communities. Success with various vector applications led to handwriting recognition breakthroughs supporting complex, high-volume U.S. Postal Service operations. Over the years, the technology matured in many operational settings - data capture in the credit card industry, remittance processing, and mail sorting. Derivative techniques created a new generation of U.S. Census Bureau maps based on dramatically improved underlying vector data sets.
