Louise Bloomingdale Cullman, 95, passed away in her Jamaican home surrounded by family members on March 24, 2014 following a short period of ill health. An avid conservationist and animal lover who enjoyed creating paintings for family and friends, she served on the board of the Wildlife Conservation Society, and with her late husband, Edgar Cullman Sr., was an ardent philanthropist. Her grandfather Lyman along with his brother Joseph were co-founders of Bloomingdale's and Louise was a fourth generation New Yorker. Her most important legacy was her love for her family and her welcoming homes in Stamford, New York, Jamaica and Canada. She is survived by her three children: Lucy, Edgar, and Susan as well as their three spouses, Mike, Ellie and John in addition to nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
