M. L. “Tripp” Funderburk has thirteen years of legislative experience, including seven years working on Capitol Hill for Congressman Bob Livingston (R-LA). Also, Mr. Funderburk spent six years representing numerous client interests for The Washington Group. While working on Capitol Hill, Mr. Funderburk served as Representative Livingston’s lead staffer on the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Foreign Operations and on the House Administration Subcommittee on Elections. He assisted Ranking Member Livingston in coordinating the House Republican position on campaign finance reform, voter registration, and appropriations for international programs. When Representative Livingston was named Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee in 1994, Mr. Funderburk moved to the Appropriations Committee and served as special assistant to the Chairman. As Senior Vice President for The Washington Group, Mr. Funderburk represented numerous clients before Congress and the Administration on a broad range of areas including health care, technology, defense, homeland security, internet taxation, and various appropriations issues. Mr. Funderburk has degrees from the University of Virginia (BA in 1987) and Duke University (MBA in 1996).
