Tom Mallman, a native of Evanston, Illinois graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and also received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago with a concentration in Finance. Tom began his career at The Northern Trust Company in Chicago in 1968 and was engaged in various investment research and portfolio management activities. Over his 31 years at The Northern Trust, he held a number of positions including Personal Financial Services Fixed Income Director, Director of Short Duration Fixed Income Management and his last assignment as Northern Trust Global Investments’ Chief Administrative Officer.
Taking an early retirement from The Northern Trust as Senior Vice President, Tom joined C.W. Henderson & Associates in March 2000. As Senior Managing Director, he is involved in product development, marketing, client relations, investment strategy development and the administration of the firm. He also serves as the Chief Compliance Officer. Tom is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and the past President of the Society of Municipal Analysts.
Finally, Tom served in the U.S. Naval Reserve from 1962-1984. While on active duty he flew 157 combat missions in Southeast Asia while attached to a fighter squadron based aboard the USS Kitty Hawk. He retired from the Naval Air Reserve in 1984 with the rank of Captain. |
