The Alliance to Reclaim Our Schools, which counts the Center for Popular Democracy among its national organizations, seeks to create partnerships with community organizations that serve parents, youth, and educators committed to making sure that African-American and Latino students have equitable access to quality public schools. The group’s efforts have led to the advancement of schools that are organized around principles of rigorous curriculum, restorative justice practices, and qualified education professionals. This grant will support the group’s convenings and national capacity-building efforts and allow it to expand its partnership base. |
