Today I invested Admiral Mike Rogers with the insignia of his appointment as an Honorary Officer of the Order of Australia (Military Division). Admiral Rogers served in the U.S. Navy and was previously the Director of the National Security Agency and Commander of United States Cyber Command.
He was appointed an honorary AO for “distinguished service in fostering the military relationship between Australia and the United States through exceptional leadership, passion and strategic foresight; and in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to enhancing the Australian Defence Force cyber capability.”
