Meet the Pennovators: Qualcomm Research Philadelphia

The Pennovation Works is a 23-acre property adjacent to Penn’s campus that is being developed to accommodate Penn affiliates — including researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry partners — as they work to translate inventiveness into viable ventures that solve real world problems and generate economic development.
KMel Robotics’ hexrotor orchestra: their flying robots put a new spin on some old favorites. KMEL was acquired by Qualcomm Research Philadelphia and is now part of the Pennovation Works community.
One such affiliate is Qualcomm Research Philadelphia, a division of the Fortune 100 company Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., which was established in February 2015, along with the acquisition of KMel Robotics.
