Fidel Marquez worked for ComEd for all but two years since 1981. Beginning as a line worker, he rose to be SVP of Governmental Affairs, in which capacity he liased with state officials. In 2020 he was charged by Uncle Sam with conspiracy to commit bribery around a lucrative scam connected to Illinois House Speaker and powerful Chicago Democrat Michael Madigan. US Att’y John Lausch disclosed as much as part of a criminal investigation indicating Marquez’ likelihood of cooperating and providing further evidence in Lausch’s ongoing criminal probe. |
