Notes About Tyson Pratcher logoA graduate of Hampton University and Columbia University School of Law, Tyson Pratcher has built a career in the financial sector over the past decade and a half. Possessing a varied background that covers both legal and political work, he has worked in the areas of hedge funds, real estate and private equity. Currently, Tyson Pratcher is the director of opportunistic investments and absolute return strategies for the New York State Common Retirement Fund. Additionally, he serves on the advisory boards for Landmark Partners, Blackstone Tactical Opportunities Fund, and TPG Opportunities Partners. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Mr. Pratcher is an active member of the community. An inaugural member of the Carnegie Council Young Leaders Program, Tyson Pratcher is the founder of the Harlem Education Initiative, a program that offers mentoring and tutoring services to students in Harlem. Further, Tyson Pratcher is the co-founder and chairman of the board of the Harlem Jets, an after-school program dedicated to helping youth stay academically motivated and physically active through tackle football, competitive cheerleading, and academic enrichment programs. Under his leadership, the program has served more than 1,000 children in Harlem and the South Bronx.
